Destination 1: Dubai (1)

But before that, just some interesting things on the way to Dubai. I think we took the same flight as Miss Universe Singapore. She was busy looking pretty with her sash at the airport check in. This is the only photo I've taken of her: (the one in the middle with the sash). She's just surrounded by family and friends, no supporters except the occasional tourists who wanted to take photos with her. Till now I still don't know what's her name, Haha, just shown how fail the Miss Universe program is in Singapore.

The Emirates flight was very smooth. I managed to stuff myself into the window seat for the entire 7hours without getting up! I don't know how I did that. Haha. So here we are, the first of many photos of us:

The most amazing thing that the onboard entertainment has is the forward and downward looking cameras, which allows you to see what's going on outside the aircraft. It's especially cool when it's at takeoff and landing.

The photo is shot when we are landing in Dubai. A very cool view on the landing. We can clearly tell that it was a bad landing and that the plane touched down on one side of the landing wheels first. The plane felt almost like it is going to flip over!

There are apparently no sky bridges for all arriving airplanes, and we have to walk down to the tarmac and take these strange looking buses to the terminal. They looked pretty cool all lined up in neat rows waiting to pick up us when we are taxiing to the parking bay. The pilot said: "Welcome to Dubai, temperature outside is now 37degrees centigrade." It's 0430am and it's already 37degrees! Welcome to the desert! And so begins our 23hours transit in Dubai.
